Cala D'or

Cala D'or is a small resort that lies on the east coast of Majorca. It consists of three parts: Cala Ferrera, Cala Egos and the town center of Cala D'or. It is only 40 miles from international airport "Son Sant Joan International airport", but the transfer will take about 1,5-2 hours due to bad road. The main part of Cala D'or is a district of Santanyi which is only 15 minutes away. When you leave airport you can take taxi that will cost 65-75 euro, or by bus ?1 to bus station "Palma de Majorca" (3-5 euro) and then by bus ?501 “Palma-Cala-D’or” (8,5-10 euro).

The history of Cala D'or dates back to the 1930's when it was a small village with only 39 people and now it is a big resort with population of about 4000 people and 30000 tourists a year.

This resort can please with vast number of clean sandy beaches such as Cala Es Forth, Cala Egos, Cala Serena, Cala Gran, Cala Esmeralda and Cala D'or.

Besides many beaches you can find a lot of bars, shops and other interesting places that are located in pedestrian zone in the center of Cala D'or. If you like quite relaxing holiday or you are coming with children, it is an ideal resort for you!
